Paze and Zelle’s Andrea Gilman on the future of digital payments

At SXSW, The Current Podcast partnered with The Female Quotient to spotlight trailblazing women in media and marketing to mark International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month.

In this episode, we sit down with Andrea Gilman, chief marketing officer at Early Warning, owner of digital payments services Paze and Zelle, to discuss how she’s driving innovation in digital payments.

With a strong background at Mastercard and various fintech companies, Gilman has played a key role in making Zelle a household name. Now, she’s leading the launch of Paze, a new digital wallet designed with security, convenience and consumer trust at its core.

“People really pay attention to what comes from their bank. We’re seeing that trust play a major role in adoption,” she explains.

Beyond marketing and product innovation, Gilman reflects on the importance of representation in leadership. “Women constitute over 75% of online purchase decisions,” she says. “We need women in the payments industry.”
